Milwaukee, Wis. - Kelly Hitchcock of Illinois Tech Women's Soccer earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Student-Athlete of the Week honors for Women's Soccer - Offensive Player, for her performance for the Scarlet Hawks this past week.

Hitchcock, a graduate student forward/midfielder and Mechanical Engineering major from Scottsdale, Arizona, notched 9 points on the week with 3 goals and 3 assists as the Scarlet Hawks completed a perfect season in conference play in their final regular season match, and opened NACC tournament play with a quarterfinals victory. Hitchcock started the week with a goal and an assist in 41 minutes played in the Hawks victory at Rockford last Wednesday. In the tournament opener on Sunday, Hitchcock factored in four of the five Scarlet Hawk scoring plays, collecting 2 goals and 2 assists in 55 minutes played to help send the Hawks to the semifinal round with a 5-1 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran. For the week, Hitchcock tallied 11 shots, with 6 shots on goal for a .545 shots on goal percentage in 96 minutes played. Hitchcock ranks second in the NACC in goals scored with 12 and has a conference-leading .80 goals per game average. This is Hitchcock's second NACC Student-Athlete of the Week honor this season.
