Milwaukee, Wis. - The Illinois Tech women's lacrosse team was recognized when
Antonia Martinez and
Mercy Godfrey were named to the 2025 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Lacrosse All-Conference team.
Martinez, a junior attacker and Finance major from Atlanta, Georgia, was named an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection. This was Martinez's second consecutive all-conference honor. Martinez led the Scarlet Hawks in scoring for a second consecutive season, scoring 51 goals with 4 assists for 55 total points. She tallied 104 shots, with 78 on goal for a .750 shots on goal percentage. Martinez also led the team in draw controls with 80, while collecting 34 ground balls and causing 4 turnovers. Martinez went over the 100 goals scored milestone with her 6-goal performance in the Scarlet Hawks 10-9 Senior Day win over Lawrence on April 19th.
Godfrey, a graduate student goalkeeper and Architecture major from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was named an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection. This was Godfrey's first all-conference honor. Godfrey led the conference in total saves (197) and saves per game (11.59) while facing a conference-leading 652 shots from Scarlet Hawks opponents. Godfrey also broke the 200 career saves milestone with her 13-save performance in the Scarlet Hawks 10-9 Senior Day win over Lawrence on April 19th. Godfrey was especially effective on free-position attempts, allowing only 50 goals on 113 attempts, holding opponents to a .442 free-position percentage. For comparison, the Scarlet Hawks scored 23 free-position goals on 42 attempts for a .548 free-position percentage.
