Chicago, Ill. - Logan Inman of baseball and Kailey Nicholas of women's track and field are the recipients of Scarlet Hawk of the Week honors for the week of April 20th.
Inman, a first-year infielder/outfielder and Aerospace Engineering major from Orlando, Florida, had a monster week for baseball, as the Scarlet Hawks went 5-1, including 4-0 in NACC play. Inman was 9/22 for a team-leading .409 batting average, .591 slugging percentage and 7 RBI, with 2 doubles, 1 triple and 4 runs scored.
Nicholas, a sophomore multi-event athlete and Architectural Engineering major from Frederick, Maryland, paced the Scarlet Hawks with 31 points as the women's track & field team took first place with 108 points at the Cougar Invitational. Nicholas took 1st place in the 100m hurdles, 2nd place in the long jump and triple jump, 6th in javelin and 7th in shot put as Nicholas prepared for this weekend's outdoor conference championships heptathlon. Nicholas moved into 3rd place all-time in Illinois Tech women's outdoor 100m hurdles with a time of 17.70.
