Michael Malfeo (JR/Orland Park, IL) and Austin Boos (SO/Indianapolis, IN) both went 2-3 at the plate and that was all the offense for the day as Illinois Institute of Technology fell 9-1 to Augsburg College at Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, AZ on Wednesday.

Tyler Beck got the win for Augsburg College. He allowed one run over five innings. Tyler Beck struck out 10, walked none and gave up four hits.

Matthew Bishop (SO/New Lenox, IL) (0-1) took the loss for the Hawks. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed three unearned runs. One bright spot was when primary catcher Brian Colon-Rodriguez (SO/Carolina, PR) came in as relief on the mound and finished the rest of the game.

Illinois Institute of Technology spoiled the shut out in the last of the sixth when it scored its only run of the game on a leadoff single by Boos followed by a Malfeo RBI double.
