Chicago, Ill. - Kelly Hitchcock of women's soccer and Karla Trautmann Mendez of women's volleyball are the recipients of Scarlet Hawk of the Week honors for the week of November 10th.

Hitchcock, a graduate student forward and Mechanical Engineering major from Scottsdale, Arizona, scored both of the Scarlet Hawks goals in two matches in their NCAA DIII Women's Soccer Championship tournament run to the 2nd round. Hitchcock scored the only goal and game-winning goal in the Hawks' 1-0 win over Grove City in the first round on Friday, and followed that up with a first-half goal in the Hawks' 2nd round 2-1 loss to Calvin on Saturday. Over two NCAA tournament games, Hitchcock had 5 shots, 3 on frame, for a .600 shots on goal percentage, in 177 minutes played.

Trautmann Mendez, a junior outside hitter and Architecture major from Utuado, Puerto Rico, racked up 27 kills over 2 matches and 6 sets played for a 4.50 kills per set average, with a .322 hitting percentage during the Scarlet Hawks post-season run in the NACC conference tournament. She also added 19 digs, 5 service aces and 4 blocks, while earning 34.5 points.
