Milwaukee, Wis. - Kelly Hitchcock of Illinois Tech Women's Soccer earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Student-Athlete of the Week honors for Women's Soccer - Offensive Player, for her performance for the Scarlet Hawks this past week.
Hitchcock, a graduate student forward/midfielder and Mechanical Engineering major from Scottsdale, Arizona, scored 3 goals on the week as the Scarlet Hawks opened conference play by going 2-0. Hitchcock had a goal in the Hawks' 4-0 victory over Aurora on Wednesday, and she followed that up with a pair of goals in the Hawks' 3-0 victory over St. Norbert on Saturday. For the week, Hitchcock tallied 3 goals on 9 shots, with 6 shots on goal for a .667 shots on goal percentage, in 122 minutes played. Playing in 5 matches so far, Hitchcock is tied for the team lead in goals and points with 4 and 9, respectively. Hitchcock is also tied for first in goals in the NACC and is first in points per game with 1.80.Â
