Chicago, Ill. - Aislinn McManus and Swun Tun of swimming and diving are the recipients of Scarlet Hawk of the Week honors for the week of January 4th.
McManus, a sophomore diver and Astrophysics major from Bennington, Vermont, established a season's best and career best in 1 meter diving-6 dives competition with a score of 124.60 in the Scarlet Hawks dual meet victory against North Central College on Saturday. Her score of 124.60 was 29 points higher than her previous career-best set in October, 2024. Said Diving Coach Dar Novak: "Team recruiter, team cheerleader, diver extraordinaire up and rising, Aislinn brings it all to the team."
Tun, a senior diver and Architecture major from Wheeling, Illinois, scored a season's best and career best 191.00 in 1 meter diving-6 dives competition in the Scarlet Hawks dual meet victory over North Central College on Saturday. His score of 191 was 24 points higher than his previous career-best. Said Diving Coach Dar Novak: "A true example of how dedication and commitment to allowing change pays off."
