Dudley, Matsumoto Earn Scarlet Hawk Of The Week Honors

Chicago, Ill. - Isaiah Dudley of men's basketball and Kayla Matsumoto of women's swimming and diving are the recipients of Scarlet Hawk of the Week honors for the week of January 12th.

Dudley, a junior forward and Physiology major from West Columbia, South Carolina, had a monster game on Saturday against Edgewood, finishing with a double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds, both career-highs. Dudley was 3-4 from the field and 11-14 from the free throw line (79%), after drawing 8 opponent fouls. He had 4 offensive rebounds to go with 11 defensive boards.

Matsumoto, a sophomore backstroke swimmer and Architecture major from Beaverton, Oregon, won two individual events and one team relay event in the Scarlet Hawks meet at Carthage this past Saturday. Matsumoto took first place in both the 100 yard backstroke (1:02.57) and the 200 yard backstroke (2:16.47), while also a leg on the 1st place women's 400 yard freestyle relay team (3:43.75).
